Make rich, almond-flavored coffee creamer at home using simple ingredients. This recipe delivers the taste of Amaretto liqueur without the alcohol, perfect for your daily coffee treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • 2 teaspoons pure almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (optional, adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Combine the sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and whole milk in a medium saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until it is warm and just begins to steam. Do not let it boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  4. Stir in the pure almond extract, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar (if using). Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  5. Taste the mixture. If you want a stronger almond flavor, add 1/4 teaspoon more almond extract. If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar, one tablespoon at a time, stirring until dissolved.
  6. Pour the creamer into an airtight container, such as a glass jar or bottle.
  7. Allow the creamer to cool completely to room temperature before sealing and refrigerating.

Notes

  • For a richer, thicker creamer, substitute the whole milk with an additional 1/2 cup of heavy cream.
  • If you prefer a less sweet creamer, start with half the amount of sweetened condensed milk and add plain sugar to reach your desired sweetness level.
  • Store this homemade non alcoholic amaretto creamer in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  • If you want to make a boozy version for a weekend treat, reduce the milk by 1/4 cup and substitute it with 1/4 cup of actual Amaretto liqueur before heating.
