A classic Hawaiian pizza recipe featuring ham and pineapple for a sweet and savory flavor combination.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • Optional: 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits
  • Optional: 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out your pizza dough to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal or directly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Distribute the diced ham and pineapple chunks evenly over the cheese.
  7. If using, add bacon bits and jalapeños.
  8. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place the baking sheet in the oven.
  9. Bake for 12-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, bake directly on a pizza stone.
  • Ensure pineapple chunks are well-drained to prevent a soggy pizza.
  • Consider adding a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
