Ingredients
Scale
4 sheets puff pastry
4 ounces thinly sliced salami
4 ounces cubed hard cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
1 cup seedless red grapes
1 cup small strawberries, halved
1/4 cup small cubes of cantaloupe
4 tablespoons honey
4 small sprigs fresh rosemary for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut each sheet of puff pastry into four equal rectangles.
Lightly brush the rectangles with water. Roll each rectangle tightly on the diagonal to form a cone shape. Pinch the bottom seam to seal it closed.
Place the cones point-down on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Remove the cones from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
Once cool, carefully fill the bottom of each pastry cone with a mix of cubed cheese.
Layer the salami slices into the cone, folding them slightly to fit.
Add the fruit, alternating grapes, strawberries, and cantaloupe cubes, filling the cone near the top.
Drizzle about 1 tablespoon of honey over the contents of each cone.
Garnish the top of each cone with a small sprig of rosemary. Serve immediately for the best texture.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, you can bake the pastry cones one day in advance. Store them in an airtight container at room temperature. Assemble the cones just before the party starts.
If you want a firmer cone, you can use sugar cones or waffle cones instead of puff pastry, but adjust the filling method slightly.
Use a small melon baller for uniform fruit shapes if you want a more aesthetic party appetizer display.
