Make this light and refreshing fruit salad featuring tropical fruits tossed in a simple, sweet, and tangy honey lime glaze. It is a perfect healthy dessert salad for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pineapple chunks
  • 2 cups mango, cubed
  • 1 pint strawberries, halved or quartered
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • For the Dressing:
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Wash and chop all the fresh fruit according to the ingredient list. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the honey lime dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice, honey, and lime zest until the honey is fully dissolved and the mixture is uniform. This creates your citrus salad dressing.
  3. Dress the salad: Pour the honey lime dressing evenly over the fruit mixture.
  4. Toss gently: Use a large spoon or spatula to gently toss the fruit until every piece is lightly coated with the dressing.
  5. Chill (optional): For best flavor, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve: Serve this quick fruit platter idea chilled.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, sprinkle a pinch of chili powder over the salad just before serving for a sweet and tangy kick.
  • If you plan to make this ahead of time, prepare the fruit and the dressing separately. Combine them no more than 2 hours before you plan to eat it to keep the fruit firm.
  • Mint leaves, chopped, make a great garnish for this fresh fruit dessert.
