Make the iconic, cloudy blue milk drink from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at home using simple ingredients for your next May the 4th celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups coconut milk (full fat, canned, chilled overnight)
  • 1 cup rice milk (or preferred plant milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional, for depth)
  • Blue food coloring (gel recommended for best color)

Instructions

  1. Chill the canned coconut milk overnight without shaking it. Open the can carefully and scoop out the thick cream layer from the top into a mixing bowl. Discard the watery liquid underneath or save it for another use.
  2. Add the rice milk, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and almond extract (if using) to the bowl with the coconut cream.
  3. Use an electric mixer or a whisk to beat the mixture until it is smooth and slightly fluffy.
  4. Add blue food coloring one drop at a time. Mix well after each addition until you achieve the desired cloudy blue color, similar to the aesthetic seen in Star Wars.
  5. Taste the mixture and add more powdered sugar if you prefer it sweeter.
  6. Serve immediately over ice for a refreshing Star Wars party drink.

Notes

  • For the best cloudy look, use full-fat canned coconut milk. The fat content helps create the opaque texture.
  • If you do not have powdered sugar, you can use granulated sugar, but you may need to blend longer to dissolve it completely.
  • This recipe is family friendly and perfect for a May the 4th be with you snacks gathering.
