Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef sirloin or lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 12 wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
  3. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, toss to coat completely, and cover. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated beef, red onion pieces, and bell pepper pieces alternately onto the skewers. Place a cherry tomato on the end of each skewer.
  6. Place the kebabs on the preheated grill. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, turning every few minutes, until the beef reaches your desired doneness and the vegetables show char marks.
  7. Remove the Bantha Kebabs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For an extra rustic look, lightly char the vegetables before skewering them.
  • These beef kebabs for a party are easy to eat standing up, perfect for a movie night.
  • Serve with flatbread or a simple yogurt dip for a complete galactic food idea.
