This ultimate easy dill pickle dip delivers a creamy, tangy flavor packed with crunchy pickle pieces. It is a quick, crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for game days or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice (from the jar)
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain the chopped dill pickles well, reserving the pickle juice.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until completely smooth.
  3. Stir in the chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, dried dill weed, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Taste the dip and add salt and pepper as needed. Remember that pickles add saltiness.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the pickle dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  6. Serve your ultimate dip cold with your favorite chips, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For a ‘Fried Pickle Flavor’ variation, gently fold in 1/2 cup of crushed, plain potato chips or toasted panko breadcrumbs just before serving for extra crunch.
  • To make a ‘Pickle Wrap Inspired Dip,’ stir in 4 ounces of softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, and add 2 tablespoons of dried chives along with the seasonings.
  • This dip tastes best when made ahead of time, allowing the dill flavor to fully develop.
