Ingredients
Scale
1 box (18.3 oz) brownie mix
Ingredients called for on brownie mix box (eggs, oil, water)
1 cup white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons vegetable shortening or coconut oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for the time recommended on the box, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
While the brownies cool, prepare the spiderweb topping. Place white chocolate chips and shortening in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag with a small round tip, or a zip-top bag with a tiny corner snipped off.
Pipe concentric circles of white chocolate onto the cooled brownies, starting from the center and working your way out.
Drag a toothpick or skewer from the center of the brownie outwards through the white chocolate circles to create the spiderweb effect. Repeat this motion around the entire web.
Allow the white chocolate to set before cutting and serving.
Notes
For a richer brownie, use a dark chocolate brownie mix.
You can also use melted marshmallow or a cream cheese frosting for the web.
Ensure the brownies are completely cool before adding the web design for clean lines.
