Make this sweet, creamy Snickers Salad using Granny Smith apples, Snickers bars, and a fluffy pudding base. It is a simple, no-bake crowd favorite perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large Granny Smith apples, chopped
  • 1 (3.9 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 (12 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 6 full-size Snickers candy bars, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chop the Granny Smith apples into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for two minutes until the mixture starts to thicken slightly.
  3. Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until just combined and fluffy.
  4. Pour the pudding mixture over the chopped apples and mix carefully until the apples are coated.
  5. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apple and pudding mixture. Fold it in gently to create swirls of caramel.
  6. Add the chopped Snickers candy bars and the optional chopped peanuts. Fold these ingredients in lightly to distribute them evenly without breaking down the candy too much.
  7. Cover the bowl and chill the Snickers Salad in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  8. Serve cold as a sweet potluck side dish or dessert.

Notes

  • Use tart Granny Smith apples; their sharpness balances the sweetness of the candy and topping.
  • For a richer flavor, you can substitute the vanilla pudding with cheesecake pudding mix.
  • If you are making this ahead of time, add the chopped Snickers bars just before serving to keep them from getting too soft.
  • This recipe is easily doubled for large crowds or holiday events.
