A simple and tangy pickled red onion recipe ready in 30 minutes, perfect for tacos and salads.

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 bay leaf (optional)
  • 1 tsp black peppercorns (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the red onion thinly and place it in a clean jar.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour the hot brine over the onions in the jar, ensuring they are fully submerged.
