A crowd-pleasing queso dip perfect for game day, easy to make and satisfying for any fan.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
  • 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, refried beans, cream cheese, milk, chili powder, and cumin.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the cream cheese is melted and the dip is heated through.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve hot with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
  • This queso dip is also great served over nachos or baked potatoes.
