Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 ounces sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and shape, about 12-14 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal or parchment paper.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Arrange the pepperoni slices evenly over the cheese.
  7. Drizzle the olive oil over the pizza and sprinkle with dried oregano.
  8. Carefully slide the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or place the parchment paper directly on the oven rack.
  9. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  10. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, use a pizza stone or steel.
  • You can add other toppings like mushrooms, onions, or peppers.
  • If you don’t have pizza dough, you can use pre-made crusts or even large tortillas.
  • For a spicier pizza, use a pepperoni with a higher heat rating.
