A quick and cheesy skillet pasta with taco flavors, ready in 30 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights and family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups uncooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning, pasta, water, and salsa. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes until pasta is tender.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese and sour cream until melted.
  6. Top with cilantro before serving.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • Add black beans or corn for extra texture.
  • Adjust salsa heat level to your preference.
