- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, egg, Parmesan, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer 4 noodles, half the cottage cheese mixture, and a third of the mozzarella.
- Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 10 more minutes.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

- Use no-boil lasagna noodles to save time.
- Substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
