A traditional and comforting green bean casserole recipe, perfect for holidays and family dinners. This creamy casserole is topped with crispy fried onions for a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients

  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can green beans, drained
  • 1 (6 ounce) can French fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
  3. Add the drained green beans to the soup mixture and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Pour the green bean mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove the casserole from the oven and top evenly with the French fried onions.
  7. Return the casserole to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a fresher taste, you can use 1.5 pounds of fresh blanched green beans instead of canned.
  • If you don’t have soy sauce, you can omit it or use a pinch of salt.
  • Adjust the amount of milk to reach your desired consistency.
