Make delicious, buttery garlic bread at home to accompany your favorite pasta dishes. This recipe is simple and perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French baguette or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette in half lengthwise, or slice into 1-inch thick pieces if you prefer individual slices.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Place the bread halves, butter-side up, on a baking sheet. If using slices, arrange them in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the butter is melted and bubbly.
  7. For crispier bread, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a stronger garlic flavor, you can add an extra clove of garlic.
  • If you don’t have fresh parsley, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried parsley.
  • This garlic bread is a perfect side dish for any pasta meal.
