4 ripe Roma tomatoes, diced
1/2 white onion, finely chopped
1–2 jalapeños, seeded and minced (adjust to your spice preference)
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 lime, juiced
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Instructions
Combine diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro in a medium bowl.
Add the lime juice and salt.
Stir everything together until well combined.
Taste and adjust salt or jalapeño as needed.
For best flavor, let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
For a smoother, restaurant-style salsa, you can pulse the ingredients in a food processor, but be careful not to over-process.
If you prefer a milder salsa, remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapeños. For a spicier salsa, leave some seeds in or add a serrano pepper.
