- 4 cups fresh or frozen sour cherries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix cherries, granulated sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl. Spread in a baking dish.
- Combine oats, almond flour, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
- Stir in melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
- Sprinkle the topping over the cherries.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use frozen cherries if fresh are not available.
- Make ahead: Assemble and refrigerate up to a day before baking.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
