Make tender, flavorful salmon fillets with crispy edges using this simple sheet pan method. This recipe uses a classic lemon garlic butter sauce and cooks quickly, making it ideal for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced for topping
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space between each fillet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to create the garlic butter sauce.
  4. Spoon the garlic butter sauce evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  5. Place two thin lemon slices on top of each fillet.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). For crispier edges, you can broil for the last 1-2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  7. Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
