Ingredients
Scale
1 can (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Open the can of biscuit dough. Separate the biscuits and place them on a clean surface. Flatten each biscuit slightly with your hand or a rolling pin until it forms a small circle, about 3 to 4 inches wide.
Place about 1/2 teaspoon of pizza sauce in the center of each flattened biscuit.
Top the sauce with a small amount of mozzarella cheese and a few mini pepperoni slices. Do not overfill.
Bring the edges of the biscuit dough up and over the filling, pinching the seams together tightly to seal the filling inside, forming a ball or bomb shape. Roll gently between your palms if needed to smooth the seams.
Place the sealed pizza bites seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between them.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush this mixture lightly over the tops of the pizza bites.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can brush the tops with melted garlic butter after they come out of the oven.
If you do not have mini pepperoni, you can chop regular pepperoni slices into small pieces.
You can substitute the biscuit dough with puff pastry if you prefer a flakier texture.
