Ingredients
Scale
8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup, and place a wire rack on top of the foil.
Pat the chicken thighs completely dry using paper towels. This step is key for crispy skin.
In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over all sides of the chicken thighs.
Place the seasoned chicken thighs skin-side up on the wire rack.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil to create the honey garlic glaze.
Brush about half of the honey garlic glaze evenly over the tops of the chicken thighs.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the pan from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the chicken.
Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is deeply golden brown and crisp.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with rice or your favorite vegetable side dish.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, you can broil the chicken for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
If you prefer boneless skinless chicken thighs, reduce the baking time by about 10 minutes total.
This recipe works well as a one pan chicken thighs meal when you add potatoes or carrots to the baking sheet around the rack.
