- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, stirring well.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For fudgy blondies, slightly underbake. For cakey blondies, bake until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Add nuts or toffee bits for extra texture.
