Make the famous sweet and creamy Chicken Salad Chick Grape Salad at home. This easy copycat recipe features juicy grapes, a rich cream cheese dressing, and a crunchy pecan and brown sugar topping, perfect for potlucks or as a sweet side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs seedless grapes (mix of red and green)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry all grapes. Separate them into halves if desired, though whole grapes work well. Place the grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely combined and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until every grape is evenly coated. Be careful not to crush the grapes.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. This allows the flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  7. Sprinkle the pecan and brown sugar mixture evenly over the top of the chilled grape salad. Serve cold.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure the grapes are completely dry before mixing with the dressing.
