Welcome to My Kitchen! I’m Carla Davis, and I created this easy Carnivore Pizza, often called Meatza, because you deserve satisfying comfort food that fits your diet. This recipe uses a simple ground meat base for a zero carb pizza that is packed with protein.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended for fat)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for binding/flavor)
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz pepperoni slices or other cured meat
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste (optional, for flavor only, omit for strict carnivore)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, and Parmesan cheese (if using). Mix the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until they are just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Press the meat mixture onto the prepared baking sheet into a thin, even circle, about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, forming your meat crust pizza base.
  4. Bake the meat crust for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it is mostly cooked through and the edges are starting to brown. Drain off any excess grease from the crust.
  5. Remove the crust from the oven. Spread the optional tomato paste thinly over the crust.
  6. Top the crust evenly with the shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
  7. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  8. Let the carnivore pizza cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a stricter carnivore diet, omit the Parmesan cheese and tomato paste. You can use an egg yolk only for binding if needed.
  • If you prefer a deep dish carnivore pizza style, press the meat mixture into a greased pie dish before baking.
  • This meatza recipe is great for meal prep. Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
