4 slices bacon
2 slices bread
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 large lettuce leaves
2 slices ripe tomato
Instructions
Cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
Toast bread slices until golden brown.
Spread mayonnaise evenly on one side of each toast slice.
Layer lettuce leaves on one slice of toast.
Add tomato slices on top of the lettuce. Season tomatoes with a pinch of salt and pepper if desired.
Place crispy bacon slices over the tomatoes.
Top with the second slice of toast, mayonnaise-side down.
Slice sandwich in half and serve immediately.
Notes
For evenly cooked bacon, try baking it in the oven on a wire rack set over a baking sheet at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.
