Make these crispy, tender Bang Bang Salmon Bites in your air fryer for a flavorful weeknight dinner or appetizer. The spicy, creamy sauce makes this healthy fish recipe irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crispiness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. If using panko, toss the salmon with panko now.
  3. Place the seasoned salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the salmon is cooked through and lightly crispy.
  5. While the salmon cooks, prepare the Bang Bang sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, lime juice, and chili garlic sauce (if using).
  6. Once the salmon is cooked, transfer the hot bites to a clean bowl.
  7. Pour about half of the Bang Bang sauce over the salmon bites and gently toss to coat.
  8. Serve immediately, drizzling the remaining sauce over the top or serving it on the side for dipping. These are great over rice or with roasted vegetables for a complete dinner.

Notes

  • For extra crispy salmon bites, you can lightly dust the seasoned salmon with cornstarch before air frying.
  • If you do not have an air fryer, you can bake these at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, or pan-sear them in a hot skillet until golden brown on all sides.
  • Adjust the sriracha amount in the sauce to control the heat level for your family.
