Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen, no need to thaw)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (for finishing)
Instructions
If using frozen shrimp, place them in a bowl and toss with the olive oil to help separate them. If using fresh, simply place them in a bowl.
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and oregano.
Add the seasoning mix to the shrimp and toss until every piece is evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain crispiness.
Air fry for 6 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time. Cooking time depends on the size of the shrimp; they are done when pink and opaque.
Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and immediately toss with fresh lemon juice.
Serve right away for appetizers or add to tacos, salads, or bowls.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add 1 teaspoon of grated Parmesan cheese during the last minute of cooking.
