Ingredients
Scale
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning
1 (1 ounce) envelope ranch dressing mix
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped fresh tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup sliced black olives
Instructions
In a medium bowl, mix refried beans with chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder. Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, combine sour cream, taco seasoning, and ranch dressing mix. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the sour cream layer.
Top the cheese with chopped tomatoes.
Garnish with sliced black olives and chopped green onions.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
For a hot version, bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through.
You can add a layer of seasoned ground beef or shredded chicken between the refried beans and the sour cream layer for a meat version.
For individual servings, layer the ingredients in small cups or ramekins.
